All Major Plane Crash Incidents in Pakistan

The following is a list of some of the significant air disasters in Pakistan:

  1. All 152 passengers and crew members of Airblue Flight 202 perished in the Margalla Hills outside of Islamabad on July 28, 2010.
  2. All 127 persons on board Bhoja Air Flight 213 died when it crashed on April 20, 2012, close to Islamabad.
  3. All 47 occupants of Pakistan International Airlines Flight 661 perished in the disaster on December 7, 2016, which occurred close to Hevellian.
  4. 97 of the 99 individuals on board Pakistan International Airlines Flight 8303 and one person on the ground perished in the disaster that occurred on May 22, 2020, in a residential area of Karachi.
  5. All five occupants of an Army Aviation UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter perished in an accident on July 30, 2019, near Skardu.
  6. All 26 occupants of a military MI-17 helicopter were killed when it crashed on November 28, 2010, not far from the Afghan border.

These are but a few instances; Pakistan has also seen additional jet accident situations.

An extensive list of significant air disasters in Pakistan is provided below:

All 124 persons on board Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Flight 705 died when it crashed near Cairo, Egypt, on May 20, 1965. A navigational mistake was identified as the accident's cause.

PIA Flight 740 (1979): On November 26, 1979, a PIA Boeing 707 went down in the vicinity of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, killing all 156 persons on board. A mechanical malfunction was the reason for the collision.

All 167 persons on board PIA Flight 268, which crashed on August 17, 1988, in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, were killed. The aircraft's hydraulic system malfunctioned, which led to the disaster.

All 167 persons on board PIA Flight 404, a PIA Airbus A300 that crashed into a hill outside of Kathmandu, Nepal, on May 25, 1992, perished. The pilot's disregard for the instrument landing system was the primary contributing factor in the disaster.

PIA Flight 661 (2016): On December 7, 2016, a PIA ATR-42 crashed not far from Hevellian, Pakistan, killing every single passenger on board. An engine malfunction in the aero plane was the primary factor in the disaster.

All 152 individuals on board an Airblue Airbus A321 that crashed on July 28, 2010, in the Margalla Hills outside of Islamabad, Pakistan, were killed. The pilot's poor decision-making was the root of the accident.

 127 passengers were killed when Bhoja Air Flight 213 (2012), a Boeing 737, crashed on

April 20, 2012, close to Islamabad, Pakistan. Inadequate meteorological conditions and

the pilot's lapse of judgement were to blame for the tragedy.

 PIA Flight 8303 (2020): On May 22, 2020, a PIA Airbus A320 crashed in a Karachi,

Pakistan, neighborhood, killing all 99 aboard as well as one person on the ground. The

pilot's poor decision-making and a technical issue were the root causes of the tragedy.

 All five occupants of an Army Aviation UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter perished in a

collision that occurred near Skardu, Pakistan, on July 30, 2019. Investigations into the

crash's cause are ongoing.

 MI-17 military chopper (2010): On November 28, 2010, a military chopper carrying 26

personnel crashed close to the Afghan border, killing everyone on board. Technical

failure and unfavorable weather were the primary causes of the disaster.
