Alkhidmat takes Aghosh Homes’ orphans for Eid shopping

Karachi: After taking orphan children under its care for Eid shopping at leading supermarket, Alkhidmat also arranged same event at leading departmental store for orphan children residing in its Aghosh Home at Gulshan-e-Maymar. Each child was given voucher of Rs 5,000 and was accompanied by their mother or guardian with volunteers to assist them.

Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi and Manager Orphan Care Programme Musab bin Abdul Qadeer along with other officials of Alkhidmat met children and spoke kind words to them. Rashid Qureishi said that Aghosh Homes project was flagship initiative of Alkhidmat wherein orphan children were housed in first-class residential facilities with top-quality educational and recreational facilities provided to them. He disclosed that expenses on each child in Aghosh Homes was Rs 20,000 per month and Rs 240,000 per year. He reminded people that caring for orphans was Sunnah of Messenger of Allah (SAWS) and appealed to people of means to come forward and contribute to Alkhidmat in its efforts.
