Alkhidmat receives Thai Muslim NGO delegation

KARACHI: Alkhidmat Karachi received delegation from “KhonChuayKhon” Foundation  a Muslim NGO from Thailand at head office. Delegation was led by Chairperson Ismail Mad-Adam and included Secretary Muhammad Faisal and Assistant Secretary Pakdeenoraset. Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi, Manager Disaster Management Sarfaraz Sheikh and other senior officials received them.

They visited main flood relief camp at head office. Visitors were briefed about devastation caused by floods and difficult circumstances of flood victims. Delegation was briefed about overall relief operation conducted by Alkhidmat. Ismail Mad-Adam said that delegation had just returned from a tour of flood-hit areas and were shocked at devastation caused by floods.

Handing over her NGO’s contribution to Rashid Qureishi, she said that Alkhidmat was Pakistan’s most reliable and capable NGO working for welfare of people in crisis. She expressed her sorrow at loss of life and property and said that Thai Muslims were united in their support for their Pakistani brethren. 

Rashid Qureishi said that Alkhidmat was sending trucks laden with relief supplies including dry rations, flour, water bottles, tents, blankets, mosquito nets, medicine, clothes, footwear, cooking vessels and other necessities every day from central relief camp to flood-affected areas in Sindh and Balochistan. Medical camps and kitchens had also been established.
