Alkhidmat organises Ramadhan meals throughout city

Karachi: Keeping to its annual tradition, Alkhidmat Karachi organised Sehri and Iftar meals for fasting citizens at several places in city. Thousands of passers-by, travellers and needy people are flocking to these ‘dastarkhwans’ to start their fasts before daybreak and to break them at sunset.
Director Community Services Alkhidmat Karachi Qazi Syed Sadruddin praised Alkhidmat’s volunteers who were working hard to manage Ramadhan meals programme efficiently and make it success. He disclosed that each Sehri and Iftar meal cost Rs 200 which accounted for huge budget. He added that helping fasting Muslim to break his Ramadhan fast was considered noble act in Islam, deserving of great reward. He appealed to those with means to step forward and assist Alkhidmat Karachi in its efforts and earn multiple rewards in this holy month.
