Al-Khidmat Foundation honoured by Turkiye govt

LAHORE: Pakistan Al-Khidmat Foundation was recognized for their commendable services in earthquake-affected areas of Turkiye and honoured with ‘Pride of Performance’ award by government of Turkiye.

In ceremony held in Presidential Palace of Turkiye (Ankara), Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan’s 47-member rescue and search operation team leader Ikramul Haq Subhani received prestigious award from President of Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. While presenting medal, President Erdogan praised efforts of Al-Khidmat Foundation volunteers and said that they won hearts of Turkish people by offering services in earthquake-affected areas. He expressed gratitude to Turkish government and nation for support received from Al-Khidmat Foundation and Pakistani brothers during difficult times. In his acceptance speech, Ikram-ul-Haq Subhani thanked Turkish government, people, and President Erdogan for award and said that there was an eternal bond of love between Pakistan and Turkiye and both nations were always willing to help each other. President of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman congratulated volunteers of Al-Khidmat Rescue and Search Operation Team for receiving award from government of Turkiye. He added, “Award of performance is source of pride for entire nation.”

Following earthquake in Turkiye and Syria on February 6, Al-Khidmat Foundation launched “Loan and Obligation” campaign for relief activities. At request of Disaster and Emergency Management of Ministry of Interior, Turkiye, 47-member search and rescue team of Al-Khidmat volunteers was dispatched to earthquake-affected areas of Turkiye, which was named as Pak-10 by AFAD.
