Alkhidmat appeals for Ramadhan donations

Karachi: CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig has appealed to public to give their zakat, sadaqah, atiyah and fitrah during Ramadhan to Alkhidmat. He said that Alkhidmat’s welfare services touched every facet of life, such as orphan care, clean water, healthcare, education, microfinance, disaster management and other community services.
He highlighted Alkhidmat’s efforts for oppressed Palestinians, with tons of provisions worth crores of rupees already sent to Gaza with more to follow. He recounted Alkhidmat’s exemplary services during recent floods when it conducted successful relief and rehabilitation operation which was still continuing in form of providing thousands of houses for homeless. More than 50 water filtration plants have been installed in Karachi which were benefitting thousands of people with high-quality clean water. Alkhidmat was also running hospitals, pharmacies, clinics and an advanced diagnostic centre equipped with advanced machines for providing healthcare at subsidised rates to public. He added that Alkhidmat was supporting around 2,200 orphans and their families and also running Aghosh Homes project where more than 100 orphan children were being provided first-class residence as well as quality education, health and recreational facilities. He mentioned Bano Qabil programme under which thousands of boys and girls were being provided 100 percent free, advanced IT courses to help them establish their careers. Besides, unemployed youth were being given vocational and technical training through Skill Development Center, while deserving, small-time entrepreneurs were being provided interest-free loans on easy installments through Mawakhat programme to enable them to run their businesses and provide for their families.
