Islamabad: Federal Minister for Privatisation and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan and Power Minister Awais Leghari resolved to speed up process and action for privatisation of distribution companies (Discos). Aleem Khan called on Leghari. Matters in line with privatisation of various projects of Discos and IPPs were discussed. Both ministers will look to finalise action for privatisation soon through partnership of concerned departments. Moreover, Aleem Khan had vowed to extend full support to Leghari in this regard.

Aleem Khan urged to expedite privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines, citing national carrier as lucrative investment opportunity for potential buyers.

Minister Abdul Aleem Khan chaired high-level consultative meeting, which was attended by key stakeholders and officials and featured comprehensive briefing by financial advisor consortium led by Ernst and Young on progress made thus far and future roadmap for privatisation of PIA.
