AIG Odho submits 24-hrs crime report to CM Murad

Karachi: Additional IG Karachi Javed Odho submitted report to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah regarding measures taken to prevent crimes during last 24 hours. CM was told that 120 street crime incidents were reported in city during last 24 hours, including 32 mobile/cash thefts, 8 car thefts, 8 motorcycle thefts and 72 thefts.
Chief Minister was told that during last 24 hours there were 4 encounters between police and criminals in which 2 criminals were arrested in injured condition while 10 street criminals/thieves were arrested red-handed. Report said that total of 120 accused were arrested. Among them, 19 street criminals/robbers, 23 car lifters, 5 murderers, 23 people for possessing illegal weapons, 10 drug dealers/suppliers and 40 people involved in other crimes were arrested. Regarding recovery, CM was told in raids/operations, police recovered 23 illegal weapons, 5 kg of hashish, 5 stolen mobile phones and 21 stolen vehicles, including two cars and 19 motorcycles.
