AIG Odho inaugurates CSU Saudabad

Karachi: Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho inaugurated Crime Scene Unit (CSU) Headquarters in Saudabad. On his arrival squad of police presented salute. DIG CIA, ADIG Legal and Crime, SSP Malir, SSP Investigation Malir, SSP Korangi, SSP Investigation Korangi, SP Headquarters, SP Compliance Karachi and others warmly welcomed police chief.

ADIG Imran Shaukat briefed Karachi Police Chief regarding Crime Scene Unit and told that total 25 offices (units) of Crime Scene Unit are performing round clock duty in different districts and each unit has 12 to 14 police personnel including trained forensic experts have been assigned on duty. Additional IG Karachi took round of centre and informed officers and employees of importance and usefulness of Crime Scene Unit. Main objective of Crime Scene Unit is to secure and collect evidence from crime scene so that investigating officers can get access to accused and convict accused in competent court on basis of solid evidence.

Police chief announced early provision of 31 vehicles equipped with modern technology to crime scene unit. Later Police Chief was presented with bouquet of flowers.
