KARACHI: Additional IG Karachi Jawahid Alam Odho welcomed delegation of Assistant Superintendent of Police officers undergoing training at National Police Academy Islamabad. He gave detailed briefing to delegation on law and order situation in city and police strategy to control crime among other issues.

A briefing was also given about nature and rate of crime in Karachi compared to other cities of Pakistan, including ground realities of Karachi as a mega city. He briefed trainee police officers about his career and experiences as police chief. Steps taken to increase capacity of Karachi Police and its positive results were also highlighted. Officers of National Police Academy presented a commemorative shield to Additional IG Karachi.

Later, Additional IG Karachi presented a commemorative shield and reward to all participants of delegation from Karachi Police. Additional IG Karachi expressed best wishes for future of Assistant Superintendent of Police officers and hoped that they would bring positive change and protect public while discharging their duties in professional manner.
