KARACHI: Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Karachi Javed Alam Odho summoned a meeting with officials to review increasing street crime in city. Increasing street crime, security of Chinese nationals, and local bodies’ elections will be discussed in meeting.

SSPs of eight districts of Karachi, SSP foreign security cell and IGs of all three zones including DIG admin will attend meeting. Strict security measures will be taken to avoid terror activities against foreign nationals in future. Meeting will also look into issue of Chinese nationals’ security and recent attack on Chinese doctor clinic in Saddar area. Increasing street crime is an uphill task for city police.

Meeting will be briefed on prevailing law and order situation in metropolis. In order to curb rising street crime, strict security measures to curb criminals will be taken in meeting.
