AIG Karachi Odho accords approval to CPK members of Karachi chapter

KARACHI: Additional IGP Karachi Javed Alam Odho with an intent to tackle rising spate of street crimes in city has accorded approval to list of members of Community Policing Karachi (CPK). In light of letter issued by office of Additional IG, concerned SSPs of all districts in metropolis were directed to fully cooperate, communicate and coordinate with all members of CPK in order to reduce level of criminal activities in Karachi.

CPK Chief Murad Ali Soni talking exclusively to ‘Daily National Courier’ said that it is our sincere desire to dampen spirits of all kinds of criminal activities in Karachi through proper coordination with police and locals. He said that with passage of time, CPK will spread out all over Karachi having fully operated centers in all police stations where cops will perform their duties on 24/7 to monitor every single street in neighbourhoods with help of latest CCTV technology.

He added that it is collective responsibility and honest intentions plays vital role in eliminating wrongdoing in society and with help of CPK, trust deficit will also largely decline that actually exists between people and police since long time. CPK Karachi Chapter is based on 15 members including Chief CPK Murad Ali Soni, Deputy Chiefs Khawaja Muhammad Jamal Sethi and Sohail Japanwala.
