ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal awarded appreciation certificates and cash prizes to Ministry officials of all cadres for their excellent performance, reviving tradition started in 1999 to encourage employees for devoted work.

Addressing certificate-distribution ceremony here, he said incumbent government believed in acknowledging services of employees on their excellent performance and accountability of all those who were not discharging their duties and fell in category of ‘poor performers.’ He directed to check KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) of employees working in all sections of Ministry.

Secretary Ministry of Planning Syed Zafar Ali Shah congratulating certificates and cash-prize recipients said ceremony was aimed at acknowledging efforts of officers who worked hard to render result-oriented services.

This year, he said, Ministry had promoted 40 officers which was “Big success” and this process would continue unabated. He expressed hope that this process would help motivate officers and improve their performance.
