KARACHI: Seriously deteriorating administrative affairs of the Karimabad Ismailia Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited (KIMCSL) Karachi by handful of unscrupulous elements have compelled its residents to refer back the matters to Aga Khan Ismailia Charitable Trust (ICT) the "Donors". 

Residents said the Aga Khan Ismailia Charitable Trust (AKICT) was established in 1959 with a vision of providing access to housing for the community. However, the ICT soon after signing the above referred agreement in 1991 did not bother to look back and have check & balance on the Donees’ handlers. That’s why an era of mass corruption and mis-management initiated that was following till today without any break. 

It resulted in deprivation of genuine members from basic rights, while unscrupulous elements were creating law & order problems in the society through fake police cases and attack on lives. The real members were still deprived of homes and urging ICT authorities to appoint its administrator to probe all the financial and mismanagement affairs of Society by taking back its possession at the earliest. 

The Donors/Trust had possessed and sufficiently entitled to all that Plot of Land bearing No.ST-2, Block No.3, situated in K.D.A. Scheme No.16, Federal 'B' Area, Karachi, measuring 8.30 Acres (40,172 Sq. Yards) with Buildings constructed thereon, which the Donors/Trust had acquired through Registered Lease Deed in 1982.

Vide Agreements dated 5th March, 1991 and 31st December, 1991, they handed over possession of the said property to KIMCSL the Donees/Society to run the affairs of the said Property for the benefit of their members who were residents of the Colony known as "Old Karimabad Colony".

The Society/Donees had been formed with the sole aim to transfer the ownership rights to the individual allottees of the Flats ultimately after demolishing the existing structure and re-construction of the same for the re-settlement of the present occupants/allottees.

In pursuance of the said agreement the Donors/Trust gifted to the Donees/Society all the said Property mentioned in Schedule to hold the same to the Society and its successors and use the same for the said purposes. It was agreed that the gifted property shall be put to use as agreed upon in accordance with the Agreements dated 5 March 1991 and 31 December 1991 rules and bye-laws of the Society and condition of KDA lease.

According to original documents to the Society it was declared that from the date of these presents, Donees/Society are absolute owners of the said Property without any concern with the Donors/ Trust but the same was subject to the conditions as agreed with the KDA.
