Active policing, better law, order attracts FDI: DIGP East

Karachi: DIGP East Ghulam Azfar Mahesar said that law and order situation has direct impact on foreign direct Investment.
On his visit to Landhi Association of Trade and Industry he said that police is passionate to beat street crimes and will improve policing in vicinity of Landhi Industrial Area (LATI), He attended presentation given by General Secretary LATI Shahzaman. Ghulam Azfar said that in present economic situation we are in need to boost our exports to earn more foreign exchange for our economic revival.
DIG Azfar Mahesar said that LATI is an important economic zone and reporting is necessary from control room and bikers must have warlike talkies to communicate. Policing on bikes is much successful in urban areas and said that most of my time spends in serving three provincial capitals so I have better understanding of urban policing.
If snatching incidents happened with female workers then our presence is useless here. District East Police will provide protocol and special security to high level delegates and Consul Generals. My presence here is to join hands and to collaborate with you. He announced to establish priority counter at District East Malir Office for character certificate and visa verification, resolve issues within 24 hours, this will enable more trust and out of box solution will be provided.
Patron in Chief LATI Zain Bashir said that crime rate is low in LATI just because of tremendous efforts of police and Law enforcement agencies. He said that we will cooperate with police by all means for effective policing to eliminate crimes.
He raised encroachment issue which was causing problem in heavy traffic movement. President LATI Siraj Monnoo, past President Ajmal Afzal and Rayyan Ashraf were also present. Zain Bashir and Siraj Monnoo presented mementos to Azfar Mahesar, SSP Tahir Illahi Mastoi (PSP) and S.P Muhammed Shoeb (PSP) and other police officers.
