Karachi: Administrator DMC South Hammad ND Khan taking notice of reports of excessive collection of parking fees at certain places within limits of South Municipality has given instructions to Director of Charged Parking Department that places where excess fees have been collected, action should be taken against officials posted there.

Legally, parking fee for motorcycle is 10 rupees, while parking fee for car, high roof and rickshaw is fixed at Rs20, fee is 30 rupees for Datsun, 50 for Mazda coach and for buses and trucks fee is Rs100.  Notice boards have been displayed on parking sites to inform public about fixed legal fees.
