KARACHI: Appointment of Professor Dr. Hakim Ali Abro as interim Vice-Chancellor in Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) of Larkana has been challenged by senior professor Dr. Ali Akbar Bhand in Sindh High Court here. Professor Dr. Ali Akbar through his lawyer filed petition in Sindh High Court and has taken position that Sindh government has issued notification appointing Professor Hakim Ali Abro as acting VC of SMBBMU which is not only massacre of merit but is against legal requirements and it violates rights of Professor Ali Akbar Bhand.

Such a petition was heard by Sindh High Court Karachi’s Double Bench Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Agha Faisal, while court remarked that on what basis notification of fourth number has been issued leaving first number in seniority.
