AC adjourns Zardari’s acquittal plea in Thatta Water Supply case

ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court (AC) adjourned acquittal plea of former President Asif Ali Zardari in Thatta Water Supply case. As per details, Accountability Court judge Nasir Javed hear acquittal plea in case. Asif Zardari’s counsel appeared before court and asked court to accept application to adjourn acquittal plea.

AC adjourned plea till January 19, where PPP leader and Asif Zardari’s counsel Farooq H Naik will appear before court. Earlier, an Accountability Court in Islamabad adjourned hearing of Thatta Water Supply references against Asif Ali Zardari, Ejaz Ahmed Khan and others following strike of lawyers.

Anti-graft body nominated Zardari, Ejaz Ahmed Khan and 12 other suspects in supplementary filed in connection with Thatta Water Supply scam. Bureau had not nominated Zardari in interim reference and Ashfaq Leghari and Incharge Naudero House Nadeem Bhutto in interim reference.
