76th Anniversary of Independence: Flag-hoisting ceremony held at Minsk

Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan hoisted national flag on tune of national anthem of Pakistan. Messages from President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out. Addressing participants, he paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s leadership and that of other Independence Movement leaders, whose unwavering struggle culminated in liberation of Muslims of subcontinent.

Expressing resolve to nurture Pakistan into progressive Islamic society, need for unity among nation during these testing times was underlined.

An assortment of Pakistani cuisine was also served to participants after official ceremony. Ceremony was attended by members of Pakistani community along with their families.
