75-years diplomatic ties between The Netherlands, Pakistan celebrated

Karachi:  75th anniversary of enduring diplomatic relationship between The Netherlands and Pakistan was celebrated at historic Mohatta Palace. Event organised with support of Consulate General of Karachi Tarek Khan witnessed gathering of esteemed guests, including Sindh caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar and Governor Kamran Tessori alongside other dignitaries and community members.

Ambassador Henny de Vries expressed her gratitude for support and participation of all distinguished guests and reiterated importance of fostering and nurturing enduring bonds between The Netherlands and Pakistan. She added, “This celebration not only highlights depth of partnership between our two countries, but also serves as testament to power of collaboration and friendship.”

Maqbool Baqar said, “The Netherlands has been long-standing partner of sustainable trade and investment in Pakistan, particularly in dairy and poultry sectors.”

He added that ports and shipping sector had greatly benefitted from Dutch technology with Netherlands providing some of best-in-class chemical storage terminals, dredging equipment and tugging solutions for large vessels.”

Representatives from Dutch companies, International organisations, government officials, civil society, dignitaries, business leaders, media and representatives from all walks of life attended event.
