PESHAWAR: Unidentified armed men attacked the convoy of JUI-F leader and mayor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district Saddam Hussain Betni, resulting in the martyrdom of four police personnel on Friday, officials said. District Police Officer (DPO) Waqar Ahmed Khan said that two policemen were also injured during the attack.

The martyred personnel were identified as Imran, Barkat, Fazlur Rehman and Rafi Ullah. Police said that the bodies of the martyred personnel and the injured were rushed to DHQ hospital. They further said that the attack took place on the road between Pai and Durki villages.
