2nd death anniversary of Dr Qadeer Khan will be observed tomorrow

KARACHI: Second death anniversary of Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan will be observed on October 10 (tomorrow).
Condolence events organised by political and social organisations across country will pay homage to great services of scientist for country and nation. Pakistani scientist and creator of atomic bomb Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was born on April 1, 1936 in Bhopal, India. He received higher education from prominent educational institutions around world. Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan made Pakistan invincible in world under extremely adverse conditions, as result of which Pakistan became first nuclear power in Muslim world and seventh nuclear power in world.
During previous regime of Nawaz Sharif on May 28, 1998, Pakistan made itself nuclear power in world by conducting successful nuclear test.
In recognition of his valuable services, Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was awarded twice with Nishan Pakistan, among other honours. Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan passed away on October 10, 2021.
