26th Boys National Swimming Age Group C’ship: National records set on first day

Karachi: 26th Boys National Swimming Age Group Championship got underway today, from 18th to 20th November at Punjab International Swimming Pool Complex Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore in collaboration with Punjab Swimming Association. 

On the first day, as many as sixteen events were conducted.  Additional Secretary Youth Affairs & Sports. Mr Sana Ullah graced the event as Chief Guest along with the Chairman of Pakistan Swimming Federation Major (R) Majid Waseem & Lt. Col (R) Ahmed Ali Khan, Secretary General PSF, distributed medals among the position holders after the first day’s events. 

In the age group U– 12  and under 100 M Butterfly event, Daniyal Kashif of Punjab won the gold medal setting a new national record of (1:09.66). M Shahzaib Siddiqui of the Army won a silver medal with (1:16.47), while Bronze Medal was won by Muhammad Rayyan Dhedhi of Sindh (1:19.37)  4 x 200 M Freestyle Relay: Punjab set new national record and won gold, sindh Silver and KPK Bronze. 100 M Backstroke:  Ali Mitha of Sindh won gold, Mikail Faisal of Punjab Silver and Jazim Abbasi of Sindh won Bronz 200 M Freestyle: Amman Siddiui of Army won Gold, Amman Rehman of Punjab Silver and Subhan Ahmed of Navy Bronze. 400 M Individual Medley: M Amman Siddiui of Army won gold, Dawood Nawaz Silver and Mikail Rafay bronze.

Silver: Dayyan Kashif, Punjab  Bronze: M, Shahzain Siddiqui, Army 50 M Breaststroke: Gold - Dayyan Kashif, Punjab Silver - M. Omar Khan, Sindh Bronze- Asjad Ali, Punjab Age Group U-14: 200 M Backstroke  Gold -Mohid Sadiq Lone, Punjab (2:29.40) New National Record Silver -Daniyal Alavu, Sindh Bronze-Abdur Rehman, Punjab 200 M Freestyle Gold -Syed Azlan Sohail, Sindh (2:12.66) New National Record Silver -M. Ayyan, Sindh (2:23.86) Bronze-Maikail Ahsan, Punjab (2:46.05) 100 M Breaststroke : Gold -M.
