RAWALAKOT: Ten persons including 7 children were killed and 4 were critically injured when a mud bricked house collapsed due to torrential rains in village Tahi of Tatta Pani in Azad Kashmir on night between Sunday and Monday.

All members of family were asleep when roof of home caved in due to heavy rains. They were buried under wreckage and 10 persons including 7 children died on spot. Four sustained injuries who were shifted to DHQ Kotli.

Rescue operation faced difficulties due to heavy rains however locals retrieved dead bodies and injured persons on self-help basis. One Muhammad Saeed, a driver from tourism department told journalists that two families were living in home. A guest child who had come from Jhang was also among victims, he said.
