‘Toshakhana gifts’ to be displayed at PM House from now

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif set new precedent as foreign gifts to be received by PM will be kept in PM House permanently now.  

People will now be allowed to see foreign gifts.  PM directed that arrangements be made to show gifts to general public so that people could become aware of friendly countries love for Pakistan. 

In compliance with directives of PM, space has been allocated in PM House in this regard. As per report these gifts will be kept in space allocated for them in PM House and people will be able to watch them.  PM has deposited gifts to treasury he had received during his foreign visits. Cost of gifts which have been deposited in Tosha Khana stands at Rs 270 million. PM received these gifts during his visit to Gulf States.  

These gifts include two diamond studded wrist watches. One wrist watch cost is stated to be Rs 100 million while second wrist watch is valued at Rs 170 million.  Gulf States gifted more precious wrist watches to Shehbaz Sharif than Imran Khan. PM has deposited all gifts including precious pen, ring, cuff link and fragrance in Tosha Khana.  

He deposited foreign gifts in Tosha Khana during his ten years tenure as Chief Minister Punjab.
